In a strong and decisive call, the Coalition of Youths Across Political Parties in Nigeria (COYAPPIN), through the National Coordinator, Comrade. Akpeji Omatame Lucky”, in a press- Briefing to commemorate Nigeria independence day , has urged the teaming youths population of Edo State to steer clear of any form of post-election violence. Speaking on behalf of the coalition, Comrade Akpeji emphasized the need for all youths to focus on the way forward, prioritizing the development of the state over any political unrest.
The National Coordinator congratulated the Governor-elect, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and his deputy, Dennis Idahosa, on their victory, expressing optimism about the new administration. He highlighted that COYAPPIN stands ready to offer support to the incoming government on the condition that they remain committed to fulfilling their campaign promises. Comrade Akpeji called for unity among the youth, urging them to collaborate with the new leadership for the progress and well-being of the Edo people.
COYAPPIN reaffirmed its dedication to fostering peace and stability across political divides and emphasized that the success of the new administration is paramount for the state’s future. The coalition remains committed to supporting efforts that promote growth and development, ensuring that the voices of the youths are heard in shaping the state’s destiny.
“The future of Edo State rests in our collective hands, and now more than ever, we must rise above division and work hand-in-hand with the new administration to build a better tomorrow for all,” Comrade Akpeji stated.
